where is your shop?

we do not have a shopfront. lilylane designs is a home based business. consultation will take place at our studio in Bondi Junction. all the beautiful arrangements are done in a workshop in Kingsford. wedding and corporate is our core business. what this means is there is no shopfront distraction and more time to concentrate on you to provide a better service. this also means lower overheads to give you more value for your money.

when should I start planning my flowers?

when you have decided on your own wedding dress, your bridesmaid's dress, colour theme, ceremony and reception venue, it is a good time to start thinking and planning for your flowers. please contact us to book for a consultation.

your first 60 minute consultation is obligation free and free of charge. however, we reserve the right to charge fees if further consultation is requested by client. To best utilise your consultation time we will suggest you to first make a list of things that you will possibly need and think about your colour scheme prior to your consultation. please also check under our flower tip section to give you some ideas

also please be aware a quotation provided by lilylane designs after your consultation is not an indication that your date has been secured with us. we will secure your date if a 50% deposit is placed with us on a "first desposit first serve basis", we are not to be held liable for any disappointment especially during the popular seasons. please also refer to our payment terms.

what are the booking and ordering procedures with lilylane designs?

  • our consultations are by appointments only. consultation takes place to go through porfolio of work, finding out your requirements, and/or for us to suggest designs and arrangements. (we provide a first 60 minute obligation free consultation free of charge. we reserve the right to charge fees for further consultation if requested by client)
  • a formal quote is then provided via e-mail or fax.
  • a formal quote provided to you does not mean your wedding date has been booked. a date is only secured when a deposit is placed.
  • when you are happy to proceed with the order a 50% deposit is required to secure your date on a "first deposit first serve basis".
  • payment methods accepted - cash, cheque, internet or direct transfer to business bank account. Please allow a few working days for the cheque or transfer to clear. Sorry no credit cards to keep our cost low so to provide you with best value possible
  • Receipt will be provided via email or fax upon confirmation of the payment
  • an email will be sent out requesting you to provide more detailed personal information for planning purpose, eg contact details and addresses, confirmation of delivery time, etc
  • balance of payment will be due 14 days prior to the event

what are your consultation hours?

generally our consultations are as follow:

mon - thurs 9:00am to 8:00pm by appointment
sun by appointment

if you absolutely can not make it to these hours, please call and see if we can sneak you in somewhere.

what happens if the flower that I want is not going to be in season during my wedding?

flowers are at their best during their natural season. while certain flowers can be brought in from interstate and overseas, lilylane designs will strongly recommend choosing a flower that is going to be season during your wedding, not only it's cost effective and reliable, but also you will have flowers of their best quality which lilylane designs places great emphasis on. If there is a possibility that your flower might not be in season during your wedding, based on experience and expertise, we will recommend using an alternate or second choice of flower to resemble the theme you originally intended to complete your day.

do you provide delivery?

yes we do. your flowers will be personally transported in an air condition van, each item will be handled with upmost care and attention to ensure they arrive at your door beautifully and on time. your flowers will usually be delivered approximately 2 hours before you stepping out the door or when your photographer arrives, a time will be agreed closer to the date of your wedding.

what do i do when my flowers arrive?

your bouquets will arrive beautifully presented in a custom wedding box ready for your photography, and your buttonholes and corsages will be gift wrapped and labelled as such, what a way to present them to your love ones to start the day!

if your bouquets are natural stems, you may place your bouquet in a jar/vase with small amount of water (about 1/2") to keep the flowers hydrated until they are needed. if your bouquet is wired, it will arrived covered with wet tissue paper to keep it hydrated. always leave the box in a cool place of the house, such as the bathtub

i live interstate/overseas and will be getting married in Sydney, is it possible to arrange flowers from abroad with lilylane designs?

you certainly can! many brides have ordered flowers from abroad and you may send pictures or explain what you would like to have for your wedding via email, fax or over the phone, and lilylane designs can also recommend suitable flowers and designs for your wedding. lilylane designs will ensure that you are being looked after while trying to arrange everything from abroad. please also check the our accepted payment methods before making enquiry.

what are your payment terms?

to book your date of wedding a 50% deposit is required to secure your date. the remaining balance will be payable on or before 14 days of your event.

payment methods accepted - cash, cheque, internet or direct transfer to business bank account. Please allow a few working days for the cheque or transfer to clear. we apologise for no credit cards, this is to keep our cost low so to provide you with best value possible.

do you provide throw away bouquet?

yes, you will be given a free posy to throw away on the day if your order value exceeds $400. please ask for the throw away posy if you need one while you are having your consultation.

lilylane designs will be thrilled to share your happy memories of your wedding day. we will feel honoured and appreciate you coming back to show us some lovely photos of your wedding or stories to tell. so don't be shy to show us, email or send some photos to us. picture says a thousand words and will give us a different perspective of the work we do and allow us to serve customers better. we respect your privacy and your photos will not be used or published in any way unless your permission is given.
